Redefining the alternative rock genre & energizing the local music scene, THE MIS/ING LETTERS blend mid-western grittiness & honest guitar driven rock ‘n’ roll to create a truly original yet familiar sound that routinely draws comparisons to musical legends such as Soundgarden, Nirvana & Queens of the Stone Age.
Featuring Shannon Drymalski (drums), Bryan Murphy (vocals, guitar), Josh Ripley (guitar, vocals) & Elliot Heerman (bass); the success of their highly touted debut EP “Lucille” has allowed THE MIS/ING LETTERS to become headlining mainstays throughout the local venue circuit including sold out shows at famed Varsity Theater, bringing down the house at the 87-year-old landmark Parkway Theater & being hand-picked by Bon Jovi to open during his Rock n Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony at the Xcel Energy Center.
In addition to their local success, the Minneapolis fan-favorite has been featured on consecutive showcases at Austin’s SXSW Festival, New York City’s legendary Mercury Lounge, Wisconsin’s Rock Fest and opening for the likes of Buckcherry, Crash Kings, Charm City Devils, Fuel & Soul Asylum.
Now in their 7th year, THE MIS/ING LETTERS have followed up the “Lucille” EP with another project set to propel them even farther on the national stage having already recorded at Seattle’s Robert Lang Studio with help from musical heavy-weights such as Nathan Yaccino (Soundgarden, The Dixie Chicks), legendary audio engineer Monty Lee Wilkes (Nirvana, Britney Spears) & respected producer Steve Drymalski. The project, which will be lead by the single “Nothing At All”, is scheduled to release summer 2019.
